The Onion

Sometimes people come up to us on the street and say “Cracked, why do you say you're ‘the internet’s only comedy site, since 1958? Doesn't The Onion exist?” And we have to gently correct them, informing these misguided souls that The Onion is America's Finest News Source. See the difference? It's subtle, especially since news and comedy are often two sides of the same coin. And while The Onion may be modest enough to say “finest” instead of “only,” we'd certainly vouch for using The Onion as a sole news source. The Onion was right about America's war in Afghanistan first, after all. In fact, The Onion's 9/11 issue is exemplary in how it captured the mood of a nation after tragedy. But it's not all serious, hard-hitting stuff over there. The Onion's reality TV coverage is nothing short of miraculous.
