Edgar Allan Poe
Edgar Allan Poe books always have the raddest covers. Something about that 19th-century Gothic aesthetic that makes you wanna empty the shelves of Barnes and Noble, you know? One thing we didn't know is that Edgar Allan Poe started the scary clown genre. Or that Charles Dickens' stupid bird is quothing nevermore in “The Raven.” We did love Edgar Allan Poe's bonkers Antarctic exploration novel, though. Check that one out at the library, hoo boy.
