"It's 2020. Where is my flying car?" we yell into our pocket computers that interface with a planet-spanning data network. We often don't realize it, but we live in a science fiction world -- and like in many a sci-fi setting, ancient technologies we thought lost lurk about in hidden recesses.
Unlike sci-fi, however, these relics aren't likely to be a MacGuffin in any thrilling plot (The Hunt for the Lost VHS Tape doesn't exactly sound like edge-of-your-seat action), but they might give you a slight pang of nostalgia for a better (or at least more analog) past.
