I am a former Fulbright scholar with an M.A. in Film and Literature and a PhD in American Culture Studies. I have taught college-level English and Film courses for the past ten years. My dissertation is entitled "Film Comedy and the American Dream" and it is about the generational renegotiation of our national ethos in the post-World War II era as represented in comedic films that center on issues of upward mobility. I am also a musician and a documentary filmmaker, I brew my own beer and I make my own mustard.
