20 Facts About '90s Teen Rom-Coms To Ask To The Prom

Hollywood has never been too accurate when it comes to representing teenage life, and ’90s teen movies are a prime example. In fact, during the ’90s the genre truly proved to be the realm of fantasy (which, of course, does not mean fantasy can’t be fun as well). This is not only what we constantly tell our therapist, but also the reason why some rom-coms of the time have become classics in their own right. We mean movies like Clueless, 10 Things I Hate About You and, well, that’s pretty much it, it’s not like anybody remembers Whatever It Takes.

Still, ignoring the variable quality of ’90s teen rom-coms, we’re definitely fans. So we’ve compiled a list of facts about some classics of the decade, something to truly level up your small talk game. Just imagine: you tell the cheerleader bully that Freddie Prinze Jr. trained with a professional hacky sack player for She’s All That, she mocks you in front of everyone even though you two totally shared a moment while working on her homework, but then right before the prom starts—alright, we’ve definitely watched too many of these. Cue the list, cue the list.
