Cracked VS: Television Then vs. Now
It's hard to believe that television has been around for over seventy years. It seems like only yesterday that my grandparents were telling me stories about how they used to have to go to the library to watch black and white movies on a projector screen. And now, not only do we have color televisions, but we can watch whatever we want, whenever we want, right in our living rooms. So what has changed since the early days of television?
Television has been around for a long time now, and it's hard to imagine life without it. Kids these days probably can't remember a time when there wasn't Netflix, Hulu, or HBOGo, but believe it or not, there was once a time when TV was only available in people's homes.
We all have fond memories of being glued to the TV for "Must See TV" on Thursday, TGIF, Saturday morning cartoons… Actually, we may have liked it so much because it was the weekend. In any case, we have to ask ourselves in this new era of digital content spaces: is television better now or worse?
