Ted Danson has a robust resume, boasting roles in The Good Place, Cheers and Curb Your Enthusiasm, but there’s one he’ll probably avoid listing: serving as a prominent cast member on the Frasier reboot. Despite seemingly agreeing to collaborate during a recent reunion with Kelsey Grammer, Danson offered a more lukewarm response to rumors that he’d play a major role in a potential Frasier revival.
“I don’t know that,” the actor told Howie Mandel when he dropped by the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast. “If (Frasier) came back and (Grammer) asked me to do an episode or something, yeah I would.”
As Danson looks to hedge his bets, Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton are making concrete plans for their futures, plotting their return to Paddy’s Pub roughly two months ahead of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Season 17 premiere. “I was just on the phone with the guys driving up here, talking about when to do Season 18,” Day told Andrew Santino during a stop by Santino’s No Bad Lies podcast, confirming that the already-greenlit season is “most likely” still on.
