It’s like Celebrity Whack-a-Mole around here!
34 Times Celebrities Popped Up in the Movies and Shows You’d Least (or Most) Expect Them

It’s a big day at the office! There’s famous faces popping up everywhere. We thought we’d be excited for every one of them, but some of these pop-ups just feel way out of place or didn’t stand the test of time. For instance, it’s near impossible to take Lance Armstrong’s motivational speech in Dodgeball seriously knowing what we know now.

It’s not all bad, though. There are some pretty awesome cameos here, too, we swear!

Wayne Gretzky

Wayne Gretzky had a cameo in the soap opera The Young and the Restless. Не confessed to being a fan of soap operas, so a cameo was kind of natural. Не played a mobster with one line: I'm Wayne from the Edmonton operation. CRACKED.COM

Scrubs

Bill Lawrence brings Scrubs to an end, literally. GOODBYE CY + T.D. - - The creator of the hospital sitcom shows up at the very end of My Finale as a janitor, tearing down the banner that says Goodbye J.D. In that moment, Lawerence puts a bow on his longest-running series. *Never mind the ninth season/spin-off. We don't talk about that. CRACKED.COM

King Kong

Peter Jackson secretly pays homage to the original King Kong. Jackson directed the 2005 remake of the classic monster movie, and chose to be one of the airplane gunners who takes down the big gorilla. It's the same part co-director Ernest В. Schoedsack played in the 1933 version. CRACKED.COM

Stan Lee

Stan Lee's cameo in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is a nod to an old comic. During Reed Richards and Sue Storm's wedding, the Marvel comics co-creator shows up, and is quickly asked to leave. The same moment happens in Fantastic Four Annual No. 3 (1965) when two mysterious men get turned away at the entrance to the same wedding. HOW ABOUT WE'LL SHOW 'EM, JACK! THAT?? LET'S GET BACK TO THE IMAGINE BULLPEN AND START THEM WRITING THE NEXT As they walk away, we KEEPIN' ISH! US OUT, find out that they're STAN! Stan Lee and Jack

The Exorcist

Не tries to get the director's attention and asks, Is this scene really essential, Burke? In real life, the film's director (William Friedkin) wanted to make a film that was slightly critical of the Catholic church, while Blatty wanted to show reverence for his religion. The final product ended up striking a nice balance between the two. CRACKED.COM

The Incredible Hulk

Marvel comic book artist Jack Kirby draws in an episode of The Incredible Hulk. Kirby helped create the Hulk, so it only makes sense for him to be in No Escape as a police sketch artist illustrating a witness' description of a man (David Banner) who helped save his life. Fun fact: Kirby's cameo predates Stan Lee's first live-action cameo (jury member in The Trial of the Incredible Hulk) by ten years. CRACKED.COM

The Hobbit

Peter Jackson THE HOBBIT CRACKED.COM It's hard to find fault with his carrot-eating cameo in Fellowship. But when he later shows up as the very same carrot muncher in The Hobbit, he creates a time paradox. The same guy, 60 years in the past, but looking 10 years older? It's more than a simple anachronism; it's a big red flag signifying the lack of care he took in creating The Hobbit films.

Harvey Weinstein

Harvey Weinstein A FREAKING BARBIE MOVIE CRACKED.COM On this direct-to-DVD movie, My Scene Goes To Hollywood, Weinstein makes a bunch of young actresses jealous by isolating one of them and complimenting her, all while leering from behind his indoor sunglasses.
