Brad Pitt wanted to trick his friends into some Y2K-related panic. So he cut the phone and power and had one of them arrested. Pitt and Fight Club director David Fincher rented a Mexican resort and filled it with their friends to celebrate New Year's Eve of 1999, when the paranoia about the so-called Y2K Bug was at a fever pitch. Then they bribed local officials to cut the power and phone lines right at the stroke of midnight. They also had one guy arrested on trumped-up drug charges.
