31 Places People Traveled That Lived Up to the Hype

There’s nothing worse than planning an extensive trip based around the hype, only to get there and discover it sucks. Luckily, these Redditors didn’t experience that, and they’re passing on their knowledge about trips they’ve taken that were well worth it.
One Redditor in particular gushed about Austria. They said that everywhere they looked seemed like it was right out of a postcard. They even expected the people to be cold but were pleasantly surprised by everyone being warm and welcoming. On the other side of the Earth, a different Redditor was pleased with their decision to go to New Zealand where they could go glacier hiking and surfing in the same day.
Other Redditors have shared the places you have to visit, including jolly Ireland, magical Edinburgh during Christmastime and Norway’s vast mountainscapes and impossibly crystal clear water.
