20 Corporations That Tried to Rebrand But Just Ended Up Looking Dumber

Every business expert will tell you there are two keys to a successful company: a good product and a clever marketing campaign. Ideally, you start with the former, but man, that’s a lot of work. It doesn’t get much lazier than corporate America, so it’s no surprise that they choose to focus on perpetually revamping their image, even though it never works. Can you think of a single time a corporate rebranding was worth it? Apple? Maybe?

On the other hand, there are countless corpses to be picked over in the rebranding game. “(My favorite) is Dunkin’ Donuts becoming Dunkin’,” user onlyahippowilldo told r/AskReddit. “Everyone has always called them Dunkin’ Donuts or DnD. Such a waste of money and effort.”

They then asked, “What’s the dumbest corporate rebranding?” and all kinds of corporate stupidity followed.
