Ben-Hur

Historical Firsts in The World of Stunts The first large scale prep 1959 for a large scale stunt Yakima Canutt had over one year to train 78 horses, build chariots, and train actors for Ben- Hur. Mad Max: Fury Road

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD featured an exciting scene where warriors use poles to swing down from one vehicle to another. At first, George Miller wanted to use CGI to do the scene for safety reasons. However, the stunt coordinator convinced him that it could be done without it. It was achieved by crafting specially engineered poles, and with stuntmen that were trained by a Cirque de Soleil performer for 2 months. CRACKED.COM

Infinity War

CHRIS EVANS' CAPTAIN AMERICA STUNT DOUBLE... DANIEL HARGRAVE. NOTABLE MOVIES: Infinity War, Endgame, Atomic Blonde, Logan MOST NERVE-WRACKING_ SCENE: When we were filming the big Wakanda charge in Infinity War, I was on a wire holding me up and pulling me by my chest to make it look like I was running really fast. But the hard part was staying on my feet... I miscalculated my steps, stubbed my toe, and pulled my hamstring. I couldn't keep up with the winch, so I fell - and got dragged face-first for about 20 yards, passing by all these superheroes. GRACKED.COM

Charlie’s Angels

KEIRA KNIGHTLEY'S PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN STUNT DOUBLE... LISA HOYLE. MOST DANGEROUS STUNT: I did a 93-foot fall for the Charlie's Angels movie. ROBERT DOWNEY JR.'S IRON MAN STUNT DOUBLE... GLENN FOSTER. NOTABLE MOVIES/TV SHOWS: Breaking Bad, Casino Royale, Sherlock Holmes, The Dark Knight, every Marvel movie featuring Iron Man since Iron Man 2. E MOST DAREDEVIL STUNT: For Iron Man 3, we were jumping off cranes. Those cranes were 300-, maybe 400-feet high. Launching yourself off the side of those was interesting. Definite leaps of faith, especially since it was all shot at night. You're leaping into darkness and trusting that the various cables you're attached to are going to do what they're supposed to.
