While most movies make their mark in theaters (“we come to this place for magic,” or whatever Nicole Kidman says in that AMC commercial), sometimes what happens behind the scenes is more entertaining than what we end up seeing on the big screen. Case in point: The all-too-badass photos from the sets of our favorite films.
Yes, Tippi Hedren may have battled angry crows in The Birds, but when the cameras stopped rolling, one of her avian foes lit her cigarette. Sure, Uma Thurman decapitated Lucy Liu in an Odoshi-scored showdown, but they worked it out on the camera roll, hugging and smiling while drenched in fake blood.
