Daffy Duck ain’t got nothing on this bird.

Even with all the acclaim that Kaitlin Olson enjoys from her fans and her peers, the It’s Always Sunny in PhiladelphiaThe Mick and High Potential star is still the most underappreciated comedic performer on television considering the fact that her immense contributions to the craft of insane, exaggerated physical humor have netted her a shameful total of zero Emmy wins. Thankfully, the entire Always Sunny cast famously and hilariously embraces the fact that the snooty academy voters shaft them every awards season, but, as arguably the most deserving non-winner at Paddy’s Pub, Olson should take extra solace in the fact that the only character in comedy history who can match Sweet Dee’s physical performances is also still waiting on his first Emmy.

Somehow, no voice actor has ever secured a Daytime Emmy for playing Bugs Bunny, which, along with Olson’s perennial snub, is less of a knock on Bugs’ icon status as it is an indictment of the Emmys’ complete lack of taste. However, for as much disrespect as the all-time great gets from industry elitists, the fans know a comedy great when they see one, and in a recent viral thread, they honored Bugs by declaring that his physical humor is practically on par with that of Sweet Dee.

As It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans were quick to note, Olson has put her body on the line many times during the making of the show in order to nail the physical gags featured in the clips above, sometimes even waving off the stunt performers to do so. In the famous scene in the Season Four classic “Who Pooped the Bed?” where Sweet Dee attempts to steal an expensive and ill-fitting pair of shoes, Olson took over for her double when she decided that the first few attempts didnt look real enough, and, in the take that made it into the final cut, Olson actually, really slammed herself head first into that car door.

“They had a stunt double there, and I was like, I dont want someone else to do it for me,’” Olson would later say of one of her many iconic stunts that ended in actual physical punishment. “So, yeah, I needed to see a chiropractor many times afterwards, but whatever, it worked out.”

Clearly Olson doesnt regret repeatedly committing so hard to the bit that it committed her to the emergency room, going off of her heart-eyed response to the latest viral and unofficial Always Sunny clip show. And, given that her only worthy comedy counterpart is animated and, thus, doesnt have to sacrifice his health for the sake of the joke, Olson has a solid claim for the title of “greatest working physical comedian,” live-action or otherwise.

But, if Olson is the real worlds equivalent of Bugs Bunny, does that mean that Frank is also our Elmer Fudd?
