Stephen Miller’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ Rant Ticks Every Box on Fox News Bingo Card

Who would have thought that the Saturday Night Live joke that would get Stephen Miller all bothered and butthurt would be a punchline about TSA?
“President Trump addressed a joint session of Congress and claimed that no president has changed government faster than him,” said Michael Che on last Saturday’s edition of Weekend Update. “Yeah, and nobody changed airport security faster than Bin Laden.”
It was a throwaway joke that no one remembered by Sunday morning, but let’s go to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Miller for his reaction to SNL COMPARING DONALD TRUMP TO A TERRORIST! Unsurprisingly, Miller wasn’t interested in examining the joke itself, instead employing a one-size-fits-all Fox News checklist of Why Comedy Is the Enemy (Except for Greg Gutfeld). “Saturday Night Live has not been culturally relevant in 20 years,” Miller whined. “Saturday Night Live has not produced a meaningful talent since the 1990s. Saturday Night Live has been a place where comedy goes to die.”
Don't Miss
Come on, Steve, surely Saturday Night Live isn’t all bad.
“The only good thing that has happened on Saturday Night Live in the last couple decades were the times President Trump hosted Saturday Night Live.”
As the Big Weekend Crew snickered at Miller’s roast fest, he continued to bring the pain. “We would all love to go back to the Saturday Night Live that we grew up with, but unfortunately — because it’s gone woke, because it’s gone Left, because it’s gone politically correct — Saturday Night Live is the antithesis of comedy.”
Miller sounds like he’s sneaking glances at his boss’ Truth Social posts, only missing “BAD RATINGS!” from a typical Trump critique about SNL. Still, Miller’s assessment sounds like bad news for Lorne Michaels. Who wants to run the show where comedy goes to die? Thankfully, Miller has a prescription for what ails SNL. “Unless and until they decide to be fearless and bold and brave and actually mock and challenge the Radical Left and the Church of Woke, they are not going to ever be funny again.”
“I love that!” chuckled panelist Steve Hilton, who had an even better idea for fixing the show. “Maybe Saturday Night Live is the next candidate for the DOGE treatment. Maybe that will sort them out!”

Fox News
That suggestion got a giggle out of the scowling Miller. “We’ve got to DOGE SNL!” Good one, Hilton!
Miller’s rant elicited lots of laughs from the Fox News roundtable, which both delighted him and threw him off his rhythm. “Hey, I’m killing here!” he seemed to be thinking, stifling smirks like Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz in a Debbie Downer sketch.
Maybe this comedy thing is for Miller after all! It’s worth a phone call, Lorne. Stephen Miller as host of Saturday Night Live? It could be a whole new kind of funny.
