20 of the Best Actors Who Aren’t Human

You know, we really don’t give enough credit to the non-humans without whom many movies would be impossible. No, not A.I., at least not yet. We’re talking about the animals who play America’s sweethearts’ pets, partners and occasionally foes. An animal who doesn’t know what it’s doing can break a movie just as surely as an exceptionally gifted one can make it.
For example, “I just finished watching season one of True Detective,” Redditor Meltbaby told r/Movies. “In the season finale, we see the killer’s house, and he has a dog. The dog seems to be really loving, the man yells for the dog to get out, the dog goes out the dog door and sticks his face back in as to say, ‘Okay, I know you’re crazy, do you really want me out or are you just having a moment?’ I just thought the dog’s acting added so much to the scene and atmosphere. This dog seems to have gone through this so many times that it could actually be living in this scenario.”
They then asked, “Can anyone else think of a scene where an animal just absolutely makes the film world real?”
They were certainly barking up the right digital tree, as their fellow Redditors offered all kinds of animalistic performances.
