‘SNL’ Twitter Roasts Dave Chappelle for Being Anti-Sleeves As Well As Anti-Trans

‘SNL’ Twitter Roasts Dave Chappelle for Being Anti-Sleeves As Well As Anti-Trans

Dave Chappelle has long challenged the idea that individuals can choose a gender identity that differs from their assigned genitalia, but it’s hard to take him seriously when he keeps showing up to work dressed like the sign on a gender-neutral bathroom.

This Saturday, the controversial stand-up giant will return to Saturday Night Live for the first time since he used his opening monologue to defend Kanye West and Kyrie Irving against completely reasonable accusations of anti-Semitism back in November 2022. In the two years and change since Chappelle last appeared on SNL, he has sworn off his favorite stand-up subject, vowing to let bygones be non-bygones with the transgender community whom he had taunted in $20 million Netflix special after $20 million Netflix special while simultaneously claiming censorship and cancellation

However, that stalemate seems to be at an end after Chappelle apparently raided the closet of some poor non-binary concert cellist before flaunting the stolen fit in a new SNL promo.

When the official SNL Twitter account posted a video of Chappelle, Marcello Hernandez and musical guest Glorilla promoting this Saturday’s show, the online SNL fandom wondered why a man in a sleeveless tuxedo is so worried about what’s in everybody else’s pants when his probably don’t even have pockets:

Chappelle has been rocking some unusual custom outfits ever since he re-entered the A-list in the mid-2010s, but this new SNL ensemble has got to be the most non-traditional look hes served since skipping out on Chappelle's Show. Its like Chappelle stole the suit from one of the SNL band members and couldnt decide whether he wanted to turn it into a vest or a dress, so he just escaped the binary and did his own thing free from the rigid and outdated constructs of fashion.

I look forward to seeing what Chappelle wears tomorrow night when he debuts his septum piercing and asks us to start calling him “Kai.”
