30 Comedians Currently on Tour, Ranked By How Much Their Tickets Will Cost You
Plenty of big-name comics are on tour this year, and Variety figures you want to know how to buy tickets. But before you plunk down your hard-earned cash, you should do a little comparison shopping to see which shows provide the best value for your comedy dollar.
Here’s that list of upcoming stand-up tours, separated into cost-based tiers. Fire up that PayPal and let’s go buy some laughs…
The Bargain Basement $50 Tier
Don't Miss
If there’s a no-brainer show on this list, it’s the wicked Wanda Sykes with tickets starting at only $53. She’s much funnier and more accomplished than several of the comics on this list — and what a bargain!
The $60 Glut Tier
There are more comedians in the $60 to $70 range than any other group on this list, including Shane Gillis, Brett Goldstein, Brian Reagan, Nate Bargatze, Jo Koy, Tom Segura, Patton Oswalt and the red-pilled Whitney Cummings. This is truly the “something for everyone” category with the broadest variety of jokes on the menu. Red-hot Bargatze seems like an especially good value for the money.
The Wily Veteran $70 Tier
If you want to see a veteran comic who’s been around the block a few times, be prepared to shell out for tickets starting in the $70 range. That’s where you’ll find Jeff Dunham, Gabriel Iglesias, Kathleen Madigan, Chelsea Handler and George Lopez — otherwise known as the Hottest Comics of 2009.
The Mixed Bag $80 Tier
What do Sebastian Maniscalco, Theo Von, Jim Jeffries, Jeff Foxworthy and the team of Steve Martin & Martin Short have in common? They’ll all cost you at least 80 bucks to see them live in concert. Based on his ability to sell out Madison Square Garden, Maniscalco is the bargain play.
The Polar Opposite $90 Tier
Jim Gaffigan and Bert Kreischer are the two comics with tix starting in the $90 range. For the money, you can at least be assured Gaffigan will keep his shirt on.
The Pick Your Poison $100 Tier
You’ve got $100 burning a hole in your pocket. Who do you see — Matt Rife, Katt Williams or Kevin James? Whomever you choose, you’ll probably need a shower after the show to wash off the yuck.
The Premium $120 Tier
Whether or not the comedy of Nikki Glaser, Ricky Gervais, Kevin Hart or John Mulaney is your particular cup of funny, it’s hard to argue with this quartet being near the top of the stand-up food chain in 2025. You’ll pay through the nose and like it, comedy nerd.
The “Of Course He Costs the Most” Tier
Jerry Seinfeld is only a whiff away from being our first comedy billionaire. With entry-level tickets starting in the $130 range, this might be the year he gets there.
