20 R-Rated Movies That Deserve the Lego Treatment
When you think about it, it’s pretty strange that we now have an entire genre of film that’s just “other films but with Legos.” But by all accounts, the people are into it. Hot on the heels of the success of The Lego Batman Movie, 2017’s The Lego Ninjago Movie kept the gravy train rolling. Now there’s going to be an all-Lego Pharrell biopic. Say those words out loud. Really roll them around in your mouth.
But those are baby movies for babies. “But Christopher Nolan—” No. They are. If Lego really had little plastic balls, they would branch out to darker, more adult offerings. You know you wanna see Pulp Fiction, American Psycho and Fifty Shades of Grey lovingly rendered in brick form — hell, it might actually get you to watch Fifty Shades of Grey.
That’s why user ASPYDERMONKEE asked r/AskReddit, “If you could make any rated-R movie into a Lego movie, what would it be?”
