‘Parks and Recreation’ Star Ben Schwartz Says People Text Him Jean-Ralphio Reaction GIFs All the Time
No matter how sick and tired you may be of your millennial pals sending you the same Jean-Ralphio Saperstein reaction GIFs over and over again, there will always be someone even more annoyed about it: Jean-Ralphio Saperstein himself, Ben Schwartz.
Last week, the comedian got candid about the long-lasting legacy of his role in the NBC sitcom, revealing that even a decade after the Parks and Recreation series finale, his friends — like many of ours — are still getting a whole lot of use out of his various viral moments.
“People, as a bit, sometimes will take GIFs of me and send them to me as a response to myself,” Schwartz told Entertainment Weekly earlier this month. Yet the burden of being a viral sensation — one that’s way too much responsibility for any of us — tends to emerge at one of the most irritating times: When Schwartz is trying to get out of plans with friends.
“Sometimes I’ll be like, ‘Oh yeah, I can’t make it. I’m so sorry,’ and then ‘Don’t be suspicious’ or ‘You’re the worst’ will come up,” he recalled.
But while Schwartz’s eyes may be pissing tears of frustration, we’re sure his pals are pissing tears of laughter. After all, he just might be “so alone” on this one.
