These Are the Most Evil ‘Saturday Night Live’ Hosts Who Aren't Elon Musk
Contrary to what his many, many haters may claim, controversial CEO and Donald Trump ally Elon Musk is not the most evil monster to ever host Saturday Night Live — though he might be the least funny one.
SNL fans have long grappled with the fact that, when it comes to placing the show smack-dab in the center of the zeitgeist, Lorne Michaels will never have any moral qualms about booking controversial hosts, so long as the divisive celebrity is adequately positioned toward the top of the A-list. The pretense of SNL’s impartiality (or, at least, equal mockery) demands that Michaels book public figures whom his majority left-leaning audience might not find palatable, and the comedy king-maker continues to prove, time and time again, that there’s no fence on which he will not sit just to keep his show in the middle of every cultural conversation and political discussion.
However, for all the outrage within the SNL fandom over far-right figures like Musk getting the full Michaels glazing, sometimes the fans forget that literal murderers have delivered the opening monologue in Studio 8H — though, to be fair to Michaels, it’s not like he could have known it at the time.
Don't Miss
SNL Twitter recently discussed which past hosts exceed Musk’s awfulness when he hosted the show back in May, 2021 after a fan mistakenly labeled him as the show’s most despicable guest, and i’'s clear that Norm Macdonald would have some choice words about the Michaels’ real worst picks:
While Musk may be hell-bent on tearing down the country for personal gain, it’s still too soon to consider him even more evil than a double-murderer like O.J. Simpson, a single-murderer like Robert Blake, or the multiple Republican presidents who more directly attacked the critical institutions in our democracy. On top of that, Steven Seagal may very well be the most evil man of the bunch with his numerous physical and sexual assault allegations and his recent demand to join the front lines in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Still, top 6 ain’t bad considering that the show's been on for nearly 50 years and half of Hollywood has graced the stage where Musk delivered his awkward monologue on that forgettable May evening. Plus, the Twitter CEO could always just tinker with the algorithm until it puts him at #1.
