These Are the ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Side Characters Who Make the Gang Look Like Saints
By nearly all metrics, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia gang are certifiably terrible people. But even with their pitiful track record of exhibiting basic human decency, one defined by kidnapping, arson and basically every single interaction they’ve had with Rickety Cricket, they’re still arguably far from the worst people in the City of Brotherly Love.
Enter Uncle Jack, Bill Ponderosa and all the other in-universe Philadelphians that put them to (the opposite) of shame.
The debate surrounding the gang’s relative morality all began last week, when Redditor Leonhardodickharprio popped by the Sunny subreddit with a question for the series’ die-hard fans: Are Charlie, Dee, Mac, Dennis and Frank really the worst people in the entire Sunny Cinematic Universe, or, like, the City of Philadelphia?
Don't Miss
“Which side characters make the gang look like saints in comparison?” they asked alongside a snap of the Gang and the example of bully Adriano Calvanese, who reveled in giving Mac a wedgie at their high school reunion.
“Uncle Jack, that other pedo who shares Dennis’ facial features 100 percent, the serial killer who works at the hardware shop that Dee took advantage of and the McPoyles,” speculated Any-Nefariousness418 in their quadruple hitter, while Greekphysed offered a more pointed answer. “Pondy,” they replied before rattling off Bill Ponderosa’s various crimes, a list including how he “cheats on his wife, abandoned his kids, got handsy with (an) underage girl at the bowling alley, spiked the milk at (the McPoyle) wedding.”
But regardless of whether Ponderosa, Uncle Jack or Adriano Calvanese actually manage to trump the gang in terms of assholery, one thing is certain: The bar is on the fucking floor.
