The cancellation of a TV show is usually cause for uproar rarely seen outside of a political upset or the discontinuation of a fast-food menu item. After all, there’s so many reasons a series might die a premature death: network sabotage, a viewing public unprepared for art ahead of its time or plain old greed. It’s an injustice you may very well be hearing about for the next 20 years.
On the other hand, sometimes even if you liked a show, you can watch its single season and think, “Yep, that was probably for the best.” Maybe it had nowhere else to go or it was never going to live up to its premise or it was just too damn niche to ever have a chance of making decent money.
