25 of the Funniest TikToks from the Week of September 11, 2023
Earlier this week, a self-proclaimed “ufologist” presented Mexico’s parliament with two fossilized bodies that he alleged to be extraterrestrial beings that were over 1,000 years old. Jaime Maussan testified under oath that the non-human life-forms were discovered in southeast Peru back in 2017. But once images of the ghastly specimens resembling the Eraserhead baby were revealed, curiosity quickly morphed into skepticism. The hearing has since been written off as an “unsubstituted stunt” by those who take the hunt for an intergalactic species very seriously.
That said, while this alien might have been a hoax, at least its gaunt visage makes for a really funny TikTok template.
But the Peruvian aliens didn’t deliver all the laughs on TikTok this week. Other hilarious moments included an amateur chef coming to the horrifying realization that he’s inadvertently recreated Ratatouille, the irresistible draw of late-night munchies and a sanitized version of Rent that will leave a bad taste in your mouth.
