Bart Simpson's 10 Best Ever Prank Calls

“I’m Bart Simpson, who the hell are you?”

The most iconic and endlessly running gag in the entire Simpsons canon is, undoubtedly, the ceaseless torment of the already internally tormented barkeep Moe Szyslak at the hands of Homer and Marge’s eldest miscreant. In fact, Matt Groening has stated that the character of Moe was inspired by real-life New Jersey bartender and heavyweight boxer Louis “Red” Deutsch, who was repeatedly prank called by sadists Jim Davidson and John Elmo. Davidson and Elmo recorded their requests to speak to “Mike Hunt” and “Al Coholic” as well as Deutsch’s fiery response as part of the Tube Bar Prank Calls cassette tapes that had a profound influence on a young Groening.

Starting in just the third episode of the series, “Homer’s Odyssey,” Bart has spent the last 34 years of Simpsons history bombarding the surly bartender with puns and pranks making up a rich body of work from which to choose the hits. Here are my picks for Bart’s best ever prank calls…

“Call for Oliver Closoff!”

“Hey Everybody! I Wanna Seymour Butz!”

“Has Anybody Seen Mike Rotch Lately?”

“Hey Guys, I
m Looking for A Jacques Strap!”

“Hey, Everybody! I.P. Freely!”

“Ivana Tinkle? Ivana Tinkle? Alright, Everybody Put Down Your Glasses, Ivana Tinkle!”

“I
m Lookin for Amanda Huginkiss, Why Cant I Find Amanda Huginkiss?”

“Come On, One of You Guys Has Got to Be Homer Sexual”

“I
m Looking for A Friend of Mine — Last Name Jass, First Name Hugh”
“Hey Everybody, I
m A Stupid Moron With An Ugly Face, and A Big Butt, and My Butt Smells, and I Like to Kiss My Own Butt”
