Over the weekend, Indiana Jones swung back into theaters for one last Nazi-punching, treasure-hunting, globetrotting adventure. And while this was said before in 1989 and again in 2008, hopefully this really is Indy’s last run. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny marks the fifth film in the series that first took the industry by storm more than four decades ago. The initial entry spawned a franchise, and with it, a legendary role that Harrison Ford famously loves more than some of his other work.
While the first four installments were helmed by Steven Spielberg, the three-time Oscar-winning director took a step back this time around and left the latest legacy sequel in the hands of James Mangold. Ford reprised his beloved Indy, and was joined by one of Amazon’s highest paid employees and a Dane who has never seen a madman that he doesn’t want to play, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen respectively.
