Ghana Movie Posters Make American Comedy Classics Gloriously Violent
Twitter movie guru @ATRightMovies recently dropped a mind-blowing thread of Ghanaian movie posters advertising comedies that look way more entertaining than the ones we got in the United States. Who wants to see Robin Williams extinguishing his burning falsies when we could watch this kind of Sam Raimi-style action?

Don't Miss
So much cinematic goodness! Mrs. Doubtfire’s egg beaters are replaced with a jousting broom, perfect for impaling the skull of… Fonzie? Who cares, as long as an eyeball goes rolling around on the floor. But the action doesn’t stop there. Is that Kevin Spacey's disembodied torso rising through the floor to grab Doubtfire’s ankle? Is he going to drag the housekeeper-in-disguise straight into hell? We don’t know, but we’re here for it.
Then there’s Ferris Bueller, abandoning the Von Steuben Day Parade to take down Dean of Students Ed Rooney and the mindless minions of Abe Froman, Sausage King of Chicago. Luckily, he won’t have to do it alone. There’s best pal Cameron Frye packing heat with both hands, with Sloane Peterson taking out anyone trying to attack from the rear. Out of ammo? No problem — the streets of Chicago are littered with semiautomatic weapons.
“I Believe I Can Fly” is no longer just an R. Kelly jam on the soundtrack — in this version of Space Jam, Michael Jordan can actually fly. Heck, he might be a gun-toting genie now from the looks of things. The poster advertises two star attractions: Jordan and Bug Bunny. Which makes the flying chipmunk with breasts… Bugs? Okay, why not, let’s genderswap that wascally whatever-it-is and play some hoops!
That’s all @ATRightMovies has to offer in terms of big-screen comedies, but the Ghanaian versions of other cinematic classics look equally enticing. Open up that Fandango and buy your tickets for these future Oscar winners.
