The dawn of A.I.-assisted comedy is downright frightening at times, but up until now, nothing we’d seen could get a computer incarcerated for being too glamorous. That was before we found Obscurious Lab’s “Conservative Queens: Right Wing & Fabulous.”

Inspired by the uber-viral “Harry Potter by Balenciaga” video series and the RuPublicans Instagram account, two A.I. art projects that could hospitalize an octogenarian, Obscurious Lab has brought to life such queens as Anita Wall, Rudy Garland and Ms. Womb Warden Supreme, aka Mother Pence, in a masterpiece that’s unsuitable for unenlightened legislatures with unconstitutional drag bans. 

Obscurious Lab made the viral Tiktok using A.I. tools ChatGPT, Midjourney, Eleven Labs and D-ID, but the dialogue delivered by these fiercely fashionable facsimiles can only come from a living brain that has binged far too many seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
