‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’ Has the MCU’s First F Bomb
In the words of Steve Rogers, “language.”
James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to release on May 5th, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most humorous plot thread has already tread new ground in the bloated movie mega franchise’s currently stale relationship with comedy — they’re finally using their f-bombs.
The rule of thumb for PG-13 movies states that a film can contain up to three utterances of the four-letter word, so long that it is not in a sexual context or preceded by the word “mother.” Leading up to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Marvel has made 31 films with the family-tolerated rating, which means that Disney owes us approximately 93 f-bombs, preferably in a single film that plays more like The Wolf of Wall Street than Ant-Man 5.
Don't Miss
However, one “fuck” is a good start — and Disney unleashed it in its partially censored glory in a scene released over the weekend.
