Steve Martin Hates Love, According to the Kelly Clarkson Song He’s Featured On
Earlier today, Entertainment Weekly revealed that comedy legend and Only Murders in the Building star Steve Martin will be featured in American Idol-winner Kelly Clarkson’s newest album on a song titled “i hate love,” because apparently the world wasn’t weird enough this morning.
Clarkson’s album Chemistry will drop on June 23rd, and the recently released setlist shows that a sparse couple of songs will feature guest musicians — one track, “that’s right,” will feature R&B legend Sheila E., and “i hate love” will show Clarkson joined by the comedian-turned-banjo-player who once delivered the most iconically romantic rendition of the song “Tonight You Belong to Me” on a firelit beach opposite Bernadette Peters. Forty years later, Martin has apparently changed his tune on the topic of love.
Don't Miss
Martin has been married to writer Anne Stringfield for the last 15 years — we would never advise a spouse to invade their partner’s privacy, but someone needs to check if Martin has been blasting “Stronger” on Spotify leading up to this heel-turn of the heart.
