Andy Dick is Now a Registered Sex Offender
This past Thursday, disgraced comedian Andy Dick was sentenced to 90 days in jail and will be forced to register as a sex offender after the comic was convicted of sexual battery stemming from a 2018 incident when the former NewsRadio star groped an Uber driver.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the perpetually misbehaving comic will spend the next three months in L.A. county jail and will be required to complete 52 Alcoholics Anonymous sessions, 52 sexual compulsion anonymous sessions and 12 mental health counseling sessions as part of the conviction. Dick will also be required to pay restitution to the victim.
This sexual battery conviction is the latest entry in a shockingly long series of allegations, arrests and charges that the controversial comic has accrued over the past two decades. Dick’s struggles with addiction are well-documented, and charges related to sexual misconduct have followed the star since he was first arrested and convicted of sexual battery in 2008 after he drunkenly grabbed and pulled down the shirt and bra of a 17 year old girl.
Don't Miss
Now Dick will be forced to register as a sex offender, which marks a dark milestone in the comic’s history of misbehavior. That’s not even the end of Dick’s current legal troubles – after Dick serves his sentence, he will still be facing felony burglary charges stemming from an incident last month when the embattled comedian allegedly stole multiple power tools from the garage of a Santa Barbara home. Dick has pleaded not guilty to first-degree residential burglary.
