Meet The Robot Dog That Doesn't Poop
This piece was written by the Cracked Shop to tell you about products that are being sold there.
There are lots of reasons not to own a dog: They’re expensive, a lot of people are allergic to them, they stare at you balefully from the second you get home from work until you summon the energy to take them to the park, the list goes on and on. But they’re also cuddwy widdle fuffboors of cute, yes they are, yes they are.
Thankfully, the world of technology has caught up to the point that absolutely everybody can have their own bundle of canine joy. Petoi Bittle is the hypoallergenic, low-maintenance, one-time expense of your puppy dreams. It doesn't even shit.
Don't Miss
Bittle is a palm-sized, open-source, Kickstarter-funded bionic robot dog. The fun starts before he’s even born: With just what comes in the box, anybody over the age of 14 can assemble his puzzle-like frame and start coding. You can download demo codes on GitHub or use Scratch, C++, or Python to code Bittle to do all kinds of fun things that you couldn’t get a real dog to do without a lot of patience, treats, and carpet stain remover.
Because Bittle is an open platform toy, you can use Arduino to coordinate all of his instinctive and sophisticated movements and clip on sensors to add to his capabilities. If you want to get real crazy, you could make an AI-powered dog by mounting a Raspberry Pi or other AI chips. Bittle's platform will not only tell you how to do such things, it will also help you learn coding and programming skills that are valuable in today's tech-driven world.
Don't want to get too technical? You can just use the Petoi app to configure a remote control via Bluetooth connection to make Bittle walk and play. Do dogs really need to do more than that?
