For 99 years, Betty White rocked this world and we all loved her for it. Generations of fans loved seeing Betty as one of the Golden Girls but there's a lot more to her than being Rose Nylund. Betty White is so synonymous with her wholesome, grandmotherly presence in the last three decades that it's easy to forget that in her early career she was a keen-eyed, liberated, volunteer servicewoman that kicked down the door of opportunity. Aside from being a badass, she pioneered as one of the first women producers in Hollywood. Plus, you know, not many people have their own hot dog named after them like her.

She was one of the first women producers in Hollywood. Betty became one of the first women producers in the early 1950's when she launched her series, Life With Elizabeth. Based on a sketch she had done on local television, Betty had full creative control over the project, which she co-created, produced, and starred in. CRACKED.COM

Her first television appearance is lost media. Betty's first time on the small screen, all the way back in 1939, was an experimental TV show in Los Angeles. Betty danced with the student body president of her high school while she wore her graduation dress, to the tune of Merry Widow Waltz.
