We never really thought of this before, but TV seems to have a completely different set of social norms than reality. Something like throwing money on the restaurant table without waiting for the bill (or without even eating a single bite) makes total sense. Eating an entire meal and paying a bill is hardly must-watch TV. Those characters have places to go and people to kill!
