Martin co-authored a peer-reviewed piece in the American Journal of Physics about a fictional virus in Wild Cards, a sci-fi graphic novel written by a bunch of different authors and edited by Martin. In other news, he’s about 1,100 pages deep into Winds of Winter, so that’s something.
