31 of the Funniest Mean Letterboxd Reviews of ‘Red One’
In a video interview with IMAX, Dwayne Johnson revealed that he had the opportunity to watch Oppenheimer in the same IMAX theater that Christopher Nolan screens his movies. He even sat in the very seat that the Oscar-winning director prefers. As he was watching one of the greatest feats in cinematic history unfold before his eyes, he thought, “Holy shit. Red One on this screen, with this technology, could be game over.”
Unfortunately for Johnson, it was indeed game over — just not in the way he imagined. Red One has been critically panned, inspiring headlines like “Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans Save Christmas But Don’t Spare the Audience” and “Red One Is a Big, Bloated Fiasco.” And, of course, the certified haters — also known as Letterboxd users — came out in droves to let their voices be heard. The film is currently averaging a naughty 2.6 rating over nearly 19,000 reviews, with users expressing their gratitude for Judaism and saying the film is part of a Netflix money-laundering scheme.
Red One may be a lump of coal, but Letterboxd is the gift that keeps on giving.
