‘King of the Hill’ Fans Will See ‘Hank Hill in A Whole New Way’ During Series Reboot, Disney Exec Promises
Beyond 10 leaked episode titles and a now-deleted glimpse at a grown-up Bobby Hill, there’s still a lot we don’t know about King of the Hill’s upcoming revival. How will the show handle the losses of voice actors Johnny Hardwick and Brittany Murphy? When can fans expect to revisit Rainey Street now that the predicted “early 2025” release window has come and gone? And most importantly, will we ever learn how Cotton Hill wound up as the face of a 1970s Ponderosa Steakhouse ad campaign?
But there is one King of the Hill tidbit we now know for certain: We’re about to see Hank Hill like we’ve never seen him before.
Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich recently offered a rare hint at what’s in store for the world’s most famous propane salesman, revealing that the show’s upcoming season, which is set to air on Hulu alongside The Simpsons, Family Guy and Futurama, will provide new insights into the Hill family patriarch.

“You see Hank Hill in a whole new way,” Erwich promised during a recent sitdown with Variety.
Erwich — like Mike Judge, Greg Daniels and basically everyone except for Pamela Adlon last spring — remained tight-lipped about what exactly this vague sentiment entails, instead implying that fans will probably like what they see when Season 14 eventually hits airwaves. “I think people are going to love the new King of the Hill,” he explained. “It is so perfect for our times without trying too hard.”
So long as he’s not abandoning sweet lady propane for crappy ‘ol charcoal — at least not again — we’re sure we can get down with whatever Hank 2.0 has to offer.
