Bill Burr Wants Americans to Stop Yelling at Each Other and Start Yelling at ‘Idiot Nerd’ Elon Musk

Bill Burr says that the only way for America to get itself back on track is for liberals and conservatives to put aside their differences and start pushing idiot Nazi nerds into lockers again.

While so many movers and shakers in the angry white guy comedy podcaster industry have been making a concerted effort to cozy up to President Elon Musk’s administration as it further sows division and distrust across the country, Burr has spent the first few months of 2025 focusing his world-famous rage toward the billionaire class and its most annoying “laminated-faced cunt.” Ever since the controversial Tesla CEO and extrajudicial conservative power broker Musk started firing off Nazi salutes like they were cancer researchers or nuclear safety professionals, Burr has been blasting Musk on every platform that will have him — besides on Twitter, of course, where Burr says Musk is trying to censor him despite the fact that Burr barely uses the app.

Ahead of the release of his debut Hulu special Bill Burr: Drop Dead Years this Friday, the stand-up superstar spoke to Terry Gross on Fresh Air, telling the legendary broadcaster that his current comedy goal is to get “regular people to stop yelling at each other” and acknowledge that a “select few group of nerds” are responsible for America’s most pressing problems — specifically, the nerd who just told us that he’s going to kill Social Security to divert more money toward SpaceX subsidies.

According to Burr, the hyper-polarized state of the American public isn’t due to any actual philosophical disagreements. Rather, the ever-widening divide in this country is the result of a deliberate effort by these meddling billionaire nerds who are “eating raw almonds and doing their stupid workouts” to pull the wool over the public’s eyes so that they can continue to profiteer off of division as they’re “competing with each other to have the biggest infinity pool.”

“The rest of us are getting pushed down,” Burr says of the billionaire dick-measuring that sent the stock market into a nosedive this month. “They’ve politicized the whole stupid thing, and we’re falling for it.”

When Gross pressed Burr to identify a specific “they” whom he blames for the state of the country, Burr called out “that idiot Elon Musk! That guy who is evidently a Nazi!” Burr continued his recent criticism of Musk’s “awkward hand gestures” at highly publicized political events, saying, “I just refuse to believe that it was an accidental, two-time Sieg Heil. And he does it at a presidential inauguration!”

And, in case conservative cultural commentators and comedy podcasters want to jump on that criticism to renew their “Bill Burr is woke!” claims, Burr explained that the Democrats bear plenty of responsibility for the current state of politics, and, as such, they are entitled to a healthy share of his hilarious anger. “This is why I hate liberals!” Burr explained. “It’s like, liberals have no teeth whatsoever. They just go, *pathetic liberal voice* ‘Oh my God, can you believe this? I’m getting out of the country!' You’re going to leave the country because of one guy with dyed hair plugs and a laminated face? Who makes a bad car and has an obsolete social media platform?”

“Why doesn’t he leave?” Burr asked of the South African-born demagogue who is currently dismantling our democracy. “Why isn’t he stopped? Why are we so afraid of this guy who can’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag?”
