‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Dennis Reynolds Desperately Needs This Breakfast Tool

You may not like it, but this is what peak (cereal) performance looks like

The wheel. The light bulb. The Pet Rock. After centuries of textbook examples of history-altering inventions, another device is ready to reshape the world as we know it — at least if you’re a fan of eating cereal while driving like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Dennis Reynolds.

On Monday, Redditor SSEiGuy headed to the It’s Always Sunny… subreddit with a cross-posted video promoting a not-so-donkey-brained invention: the viral CrunchCup, which has garnered internet fame in several TikTok videos, including throughout this post. Shaped like a classic tumbler with separate chambers for both the cereal and the milk to maintain maximum crunchiness, the device allows users to enjoy cereal and milk while on the go, even in their car, as depicted in the clip.

Yet, as any die-hard Sunny fan knows, this gadget, if only invented a decade or so earlier, could have prevented an in-show tragedy. In particular, it could have stopped Dennis from spilling an entire bowl of cereal in his car after Frank rear-ended him in Season Eight’s “Reynolds vs. Reynolds: The Cereal Defense.”

“Think of the damage that could have been saved,” SSEiGuy captioned the clip. But they were far from alone in noticing how the CrunchCup could have averted a three-in-one trial — and a definitely-deserved Dee Reynolds payout.

“Dennis Reynolds could’ve used this,” observed user ith-man on the original post in the DidntKnowIWantedThat subreddit.

“No. Dennis Reynolds is perfect,” replied ballsonrawls. “You will never speak of him in this way agaiiin!!!”

Though the jury may still be out on whether the CrunchCup compares to Kitten Mittens, Rum Ham, and of course, Wolf Cola in its level of innovation, we still can’t wait to buy it — so long as it becomes the official cereal unitasker of Boko Haram.
