Rob McElhenney Releases ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Season 16 Scripts to the Public

Then, Kaitlin Olson just had to correct his grammar and cause a scuffle in the comments

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator and star Rob McElhenney is nothing if not a man of the people — no matter what a certain bird may say about him in his replies.

Right now, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia writing staff is hard at work crafting storylines for Season 17 that will be even more insane and depraved than the 16 previous seasons, which series star Danny DeVito recently described as too “tame” for his tastes. McElhenney, along with his co-stars Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton, continues to be hands-on in the writing process, not relegating himself to be a “big picture guy” or shying away from the nitty-gritty of scriptwriting like Mac did in “Mac and Charlie Write a Movie.” And, while working on the next season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, McElhenney answered a fan’s request to see the scripts from Season 16 by generously posting a public Dropbox link for fans and TV historians to study intensely.

This moment of magnanimity warmed the hearts of the die-hard Always Sunny fandom — before Kaitlin Olson butted in to correct her husband’s grammar.

Dee — we were just talking.

Now, as much as it would pain the men of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to admit it, Olson is absolutely correct about her husbands gaffe. Despite being neither a co-owner of Paddys Pub nor a member of the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia writing staff, Dee was correct about the proper use of the past tense in McElhenneys tweet. Its ironic that McElhenney would make such an error in a note intended to advise aspiring writers, even more so that the only original It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia main cast member who doesnt get a writing credit for the show was the one to correct his mistake.

Still, Olson should be careful about ordering McElhenney to get back in the kitchen — after an argument like that, who knows whats going to be in Macs Famous Mac and Cheese.
