Sydney Sweeney Pranks Strangers With Horror-Movie Theatrics

Don’t honk at Sydney Sweeney

Maybe someone should cast Sydney Sweeney in a Gen Z reboot of Impractical Jokers? She’s been practicing for a while now, inciting jump-scares among friends and strangers alike.

What’s her preferred method for punking randos? It involves a mask she always carries in her purse, she revealed in a video for Vogue. Hidden among the bubble gum, makeup and gift cards is a paper cutout of her blood-splattered face from the horror hit Immaculate — or as she called it, “an old picture of me.”

Er, why exactly would Sweeney carry around her bloody face on a stick?

“Say I’m driving, and someone’s like honking at me,” she explained. She grabs the grisly grimace (she keeps another copy in her car), turns to the side window and inflicts TRAFFIC TERROR! At least Sweeney’s version of road rage has a twisted sense of humor.

Her pals aren’t immune either. “Sometimes I like to surprise my friends and just say, ‘What’s up?’” punctuated by a face full of gore.

Not that we should alert the authorities, but where exactly did Sweeney get all of these prank props? She says that production company Neon printed up a batch for the Immaculate premiere. (That must have been an interesting day at Kinkos.) “My team and I thought these were hilarious, so we took a bunch, and we have a group chat where they’ll just like take pictures and send it to each other at random jump scare moments.”

Want your own bloody Sydney Sweeney mask? I couldn’t find one on eBay, although one vendor is selling cutouts of Sweeney simply smiling at the camera for about six bucks.

Then it’s just a quick trip to your local Halloween superstore, now camping out in that abandoned JCPenney, to pick up a bottle or two of fake blood. Imagine the fun you’ll have the next time someone honks at you in heavy traffic.
