22 TV Shows That Had One Super Weird Episode

Yeah, that ‘Friends’ episode was really bizarre…

You know how it is: You race home after a long day at work (that is, off Twitter, avoiding spoilers), dodging offers of after-hours socialization from misguided colleagues, settle into your favorite couch cushion with your favorite beer and your favorite edible future cause of death, turn on the TV, navigate to the correct channel and get ready for your favorite show. And… it’s just super weird. You looked forward to this family drama all day, and now everyone’s stuck in an alternate dimension. Also, they’re animated for some reason.

That’s one thing when it’s a show known for being weird. Like, if there’s a musical episode where the characters are all trying to murder each other with the building blocks of reality guest starring the zombified corpse of Adam Lambert on a Ryan Murphy joint, that’s just par for the course. Honestly, we’d be very surprised if that’s not already the plot of one of his shows. It’s quite another when it’s just everyday Must See TV.

That’s why user tpphypemachine asked r/AskReddit, “What was that one really weird episode of an otherwise normal show?” and why their fellow Redditors were so easily able to bring all sorts of weirdness to the proceedings.
