Chevy Chase’s Typical Day Involves Dressing Like A Pig
“Just another day” of wearing a hog head around the office for Chevy Chase.
“Some people ask me, what’s my day like?” Chase reveals in the latest installment of his sporadic, bizarre Instagram reels. The answer is even less exciting than you might think. To the tune of Thurston Harris’ “Little Bitty Pretty One,” Chase walks us through a typical day in his post-comedy career.

“Watch this,” he says as he signs Funko Pop boxes featuring himself in a Santa suit from Christmas Vacation. Those babies are going for $250 on Amazon, of which we can assume he receives a hefty cut. You can’t get one on his official website, but he’s offering signed Vacation trading cards for only $120.
“I also do ping-pong,” he says, now inexplicably wearing a pig mask.

Well, it’s sort of explicable — it’s an obscure reference to the least popular of his National Lampoon films, European Vacation. The Griswolds win that trip thanks to their appearance on fake game show Pig in a Poke. Why he’s wearing it now? He sure complained about the movie after making it. “I won’t do another,” Chase complained post-filming, according to the book Wild and Crazy Guys. “It would be a waste of time.” Of course, he did Christmas Vacation a few years later.
The experience was no better for director Amy Heckerling, who told Flavorwire she kept a plane ticket to New York as an escape hatch during filming. “I had to hold it in my hand so I knew that I had a way out.”
But I digress. What’s next up in Chase’s typical day? “I also play Jenga,” he says, donning his glasses for precise block maneuvering.

Surprise! He makes the pile of blocks fall down and go boom, just like his famous falls on Saturday Night Live. The move is baked into his comedy DNA.

“I also like to send emails on my computer,” says Pig-Chase, moving his fingers in a clumsy approximation of what typing looks like.

“That sums up my day,” he concludes. “Bye.”
