Will Ferrell Crashes His Son’s Prom Pictures
“True story,” is all the elaboration Magnus Ferrell needed in his latest TikTok.
Magnus, whose famous father goes by Will, took to social media for the task of “Rating things my dad has done.” Cut to Magnus in a suit standing next to the Anchorman star “dressed as a medieval lord to embarrass me at prom.” Magnus’ humiliation rating? “10000/10”
This wouldn’t be the first time Ferrell has done something outrageous to embarrass Magnus. In October of last year, Ferrell showed up for parents’ weekend at USC, where Magnus is an undergrad. Did Will sit quietly at the football game like all the other dads? Why would he when he could act as DJ at a Sigma Alpha Mu frat party? Come on party people, put your hands in the air like you just don’t care!
Then there was the time when aspiring musician Magnus performed his first-ever live show late in 2022. Did the kid get the spotlight? It’s hard to soak up all the attention when your dad creeps in behind you to bang on his ubiquitous cowbell. Yeah, Dad, it was a funny sketch — in 2000! Can you please put your toys back in the garage?
Can Ferrell’s antics possibly help to boost Magnus’ musical aspirations? “Eventually, you hope that it’s like ‘Oh, that’s Magnus, Magnus Ferrell, isn’t his dad that actor from a while ago?’” he told Annenberg Media earlier this year. “We’re not there yet, obviously, but you hope to be there at some point, and I’ve accepted that’s going to be the way it is. It’s a blessing and a curse because it brings a little bit of attention, but then the music has to be good.”
