20 of the Dumbest Plans in Movie History

Thanos was an idiot

In this house, we love a movie plan that is both way too complicated to work out and completely illogical if you think about it for even a second. So does user AporiaParadox. “Bad guys and good guys constantly come up with plans to achieve their goals, especially in action movies and heist movies,” they told r/Movies. “But often if you think about the plan a little, you realize they’re often terrible plans that made little sense.”

“The writers want you to think these plans are brilliant, but they only worked out because the plot says so,” they went on. “They all too often rely too much on luck, things going exactly as planned, enemies acting exactly like they need to, and predicting things they couldn’t have possibly been able to predict. It’s especially bad when the plan relies on getting captured by the enemy.”

They then asked, “What are the dumbest plans in cinema if you think about them just a little?,” and Reddit brought every supervillain and ragtag crew crashing down to reality.
