Dave Attell Names 10 Comics on His Misshapen Mount Rushmore of Comedy

Bert Kreischer says stand-up legend Dave Attell is the GOAT. Not surprisingly, the curmudgeonly comic bats away the compliment like he’s taking down a heckler who’s had too much to drink. Attell has other ideas about who deserves Greatest of All Time status, although he acknowledged to WTOP News that “I am a Capricorn, that is our sign, the goat.” 

We won’t hold Attell to his list of all-time great comics since he spouted the rundown off the top of his head. And he admits that “My Mount Rushmore is more of a Supreme Court,” at least in terms of the number of members. He even went one beyond the Court’s nine members because as far as stand-up comedy goes, “there’s never been so many giants walking the earth.” (Even though, unfortunately, only two comics on his list are still with us.) 

Attell didn’t name his faves in order, but here are the 10 comedy names that he’d carve in stone. Or appoint to a Court. You get it.
