Jimmy Kimmel Threatens Court Action Against ‘Soft-Brain Wacko’ Aaron Rodgers
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel took to Twitter last night to issue a warning to New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, a sentence we couldn’t have predicted we’d be typing in 2024.

Here’s the throwdown: “Dear Aasshole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any “list” other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court. @AaronRodgers12”

Strong words from the command center at Jimmy Kimmel Live! But what the heck was Kimmel so hot and bothered about? The tweet was in response to an interview Rodgers did recently with ESPN’s Pat McAfee, a combination that’s usually good for a few buzzworthy soundbites. The two men were discussing the upcoming release of a list of people who were allegedly associates of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Rodger’s take? “There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, really hoping that doesn’t come out,” he said. “I'll tell you what, if that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle.”
So did Rodgers just pull Kimmel’s name out of a hat before linking the comic to a toxic character like Jeffrey Epstein? Nope. Kimmel likely landed on the quarterback’s enemies list when he poked fun at Rodgers in March 2023. On an earlier Pat McAfee Show appearance, per The Athletic, Rodgers speculated that the United States government was releasing information about UFOs as a means of distracting the populace from the potential reveal of an Epstein list. The conspiracy theory was comic gold for Kimmel, who joked on his show that “it might be time to revisit the concussion protocol, Aaron.” Kimmel also referred to Rodgers as a “tinfoil hatter.”
Will Disney weigh in? After all, it owns both ESPN, which airs The Pat McAfee Show, and ABC, which counts Jimmy Kimmel Live! as one of its flagship programs. Doesn’t sound like good business for a mid-day sports talk show to be dragging one of the parent company’s stars through the tainted mud — especially since there doesn’t appear to be any concrete connection beyond “Jimmy made fun of me.”
Soon, it won’t be a matter of speculation as The New York Times reports that “court documents related to the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein are expected to be released soon with many names that were previously redacted.” No matter who’s on the list, it’s only going to get uglier from here.
