WandaVision's Elizabeth Olsen on Scarlett Johansson Suing Disney: ‘Good For You, Scarlett’
Well, folks, it seems beloved actress Scarlett Johansson has found yet another Avenger ally in her quest to sue Disney over the hybrid streaming/theatrical release of Black Widow – none other than Wanda Maximoff herself, actress Elizabeth Olsen.
Last week, the Avengers star sat down with Ted Lasso leading man, Jason Sudeikis for a joint interview with Vanity Fair, in which they discussed the origins of their iconic characters, streaming service releases, and of course, the controversial Johansson lawsuit that made headlines last month.
“I’m worried about a bunch of things,” Olsen replied when asked about the future of theatrical releases in the context of Johansson's lawsuit."Not worried on Scarlett’s behalf. But I’m worried about small movies getting the opportunity to be seen in theaters."

Yet as the actress noted, these concerns existed long before the pandemic. “That was already a thing pre-COVID,” she continued. “I like going to the movies and I don’t necessarily want to see only an Oscar contender or a blockbuster. I would like to see art films and art house theaters. And so I do worry about that, and people having to keep these theaters alive. And I don’t know how financially that works for these theaters."
However, when it comes to her Marvel co-star, Olsen is fully supportive. “I think she’s so tough and literally when I read that I was like, ‘good for you Scarlett,'” Olsen told the entertainment publication, a notion her fellow interviewee seemingly backed, calling the move “appropriately bad-ass and on-brand."
Despite acknowledging her badassery, Sudeikis says he is concerned for the star's impending legal battle. “Of course,” he replied when asked if he was worried for Johansson. "How could I not? She’s married to my comedy brother .
